Taylor Swift fans and symphony-goers alike will be able to hear the global sensation’s music this month during a two-night concert event at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
The Kansas City Symphony will perform Steve Hackman’s “Taylor Swift: The Symphony Era,” featuring a live band, vocalist and the symphony on June 11 and 12 at 8 p.m., according to a Kansas City Symphony news release.
“The two-night engagement is designed for music lovers, pop fans and symphony regulars alike, pairing the energy of a live concert event with the sonic range of a full orchestra,” the release said.
Hackman, a composer, conductor and creative visionary, is known for genre-blending orchestral music and for his inventive redefinitions of artists like Beyoncé, Radiohead and Drake, according to the release. His Taylor Swift concert will bring together both beloved hits and fan-favorite deep cuts.
“Hackman’s latest production brings added scale, texture and dramatic sweep to Swift’s songwriting while offering listeners a new way to experience the storytelling at the heart of her catalog,” the release said.
Ticket prices range from $80 to $135. They can be found on the symphony’s website.
