At this point, Taylor Swift could probably break records by accident.
Taylor Swift has added another achievement to her growing list of records. Her latest song, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” has officially broken the all-time record for the biggest first-day streams for a soundtrack song in Apple Music history. At the same time, the track has also set a new Spotify record for the biggest single-day streaming total for a country song by a female artist.
The accomplishment continues a trend that has followed Swift throughout her career. Whether she’s releasing a studio album, re-recording an older project, contributing to a soundtrack, or dropping a standalone single, the commercial response is usually massive. In this case, “I Knew It, I Knew You” managed to dominate across multiple streaming platforms immediately upon release.
The song’s success also arrives while The Life of a Showgirl continues to maintain a strong presence in the music industry. The album remains the highest-selling project of the past two years, further highlighting Swift’s ability to consistently attract listeners at a level few artists can match.
While it remains to be seen how high “I Knew It, I Knew You” will climb on the charts, its opening-day performance suggests that it could become one of the year’s biggest hits. For now, the numbers speak for themselves.
