Gameshow enthusiasts have something to look forward to as a fresh celebrity series is about to launch on ITV.
Presented by Gary Lineker, The Box will feature 10 famous personalities transported to an undisclosed location where they’ll face a challenge.
The twist? They won’t discover what awaits them until the doors swing open – it might be a physical test, a mental puzzle, a logical conundrum, something amusing, slightly intimidating, or perhaps a combination of everything.
According to the programme’s synopsis: “With minimal or no instruction, they must decipher and work out what to do. At the end of each episode, two players will battle it out in The Duel, a high-stakes head-to-head game to avoid elimination.

Viewers were then shown different settings where the distinctive yellow boxes had been positioned, before the doors burst open and contestants dashed outside. Gary addressed the participants, saying: “You can forget World Cup penalty shootouts, this is way tenser.”
The teaser concluded with Joey Essex looking utterly stunned, asking: ‘Oh, my god.Where am I?” The camera then zoomed out to reveal the Brighton i360, suggesting he’d been placed on top of it.
The accompanying caption read: “They won’t know what awaits them until the doors open… and by then, it’s too late to turn back. Gary Lineker hosts The Box, coming soon to ITV.”
