The union voted on Friday to approve the contract.
According to a statement from Hershey Entertainment, the company is looking forward to welcoming patrons this summer for its 120th season.
At this time, we are pleased to share that Local 464 union members at Hersheypark and GIANT Center have voted to ratify 5-year agreements with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. These long-term contracts reflect our partnership and commitment to continued investment in both our team members and our destination.
Details of the new contract were provided by an anonymous union member, who said the agreement was ratified with 51% saying yes and 49% saying no.
“The majority has spoken, and we now have a ratified contract. Time to move forward together,” they told CBS 21.
Terms of the agreement include a roughly 21% to 22% wage increase over the five year contract, a $1,000 backpay payment, and improvements to insurance, according to the union member.
They also stated the company’s 401k match would stay the same.
