Jelly Roll and wife Bunnie XO are ending their marriage after nearly a decade.
According to a filing dated May 18, the 41-year-old “Son of a Sinner” singer – whose real name is Jason DeFord – filed for divorce from his podcaster wife (real name Alisa DeFord) in Williamson County, Tennessee.
The Tennessean has reached out to Jelly Roll and Bunnie’s representatives for comment.

The couple, who married in 2016, has been frank about the ups and downs of their marriage, including family planning and infidelity.
After winning the Grammy for best contemporary country album in February, Jelly Roll emotionally dedicated the trophy to Bunnie, who wept and applauded in the audience.

The “Save Me” singer and Bunnie XO, a social media personality also known as Alisa DeFord, have been together for a little under 10 years.
Jelly Roll, 41, and Bunnie XO, 46, tied the knot in 2016.
After he proposed onstage, they exchanged vows that evening. The couple renewed their vows in Las Vegas in 2023.
Last year, the pair made headlines when Jelly Roll opened up about cheating on Bunnie XO.

“One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said on an Oct. 21 episode of the “Human School” podcast.
Jelly Roll said he and Bunnie XO did “a lot of work to repair” their relationship and were “stronger than we could have ever been,” though he did not delve into specifics about the affair or its timeline.
In February 2026, Bunnie XO shared what it was like working through his infidelity on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show.”
“It was one of the darkest times of my life,” she said. “I was just so devastated because I thought out of all people, he wouldn’t have never done that to me.”

Did Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have kids?
In February 2026, Bunnie XO revealed that her and Jelly Roll found a surrogate and hope to soon welcome twins.
“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—including growing our family,” she wrote.

Jelly Roll is already a father to two kids from previous relationships, Noah Buddy and Bailee Ann.
XO, stepmom to the two, said she wasn’t impacted by others’ opinions about their choice to have children at a later age.
“We’re going to raise these babies in love and give them everything we were never given,” she said.
Did Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have an open marriage?
In June 2025, Bunnie XO cleared up rumors that she and Jelly Roll were in an open marriage.
Years ago, the two embraced a dynamic similar to an open relationship that was mostly focused on not controlling each other. That arrangement had since ended.

Bunnie XO said she couldn’t understand why fans weren’t grasping that the two were in an exclusive relationship.
“We have completely stopped all of those shenanigans because you can’t trust anybody in the world,” she said. “Back in the day, that was how we looked at our relationship.”
