Fans of Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter have likely seen a clip of their new collaboration, “Bring Your Love,” that the pair performed at Coachella, but now Madonna has dropped the studio version of the track in a new video. If you want to dance, the track is for you.
To be sure, the song is a slow burn. After a 30-second intro that shows Madonna moving around in slow-motion (this makes sense as the song itself is fairly slow-motion), the echo-y vocals kick in. The lyrics will change no one’s view of life, mind you, but that isn’t the point.
Instead, it’s supposed to be feel-good music. Carpenter and Madonna dance around topless male dancers throughout the video in a club that is as dimly lit as one would assume it should be. The odd drawback to the tune is Carpenter.

Her voice seems thin on the track compared to Madonna’s. Imagine one intentionally trying to sound playful, while Madonna is all grown up. One artist bloomed decades ago, and they learned how to transform and adapt. Carpenter has found her pop niche, but how important she remains, especially compared to her collaborator, is not yet known.
The track would have been better if Carpenter had not been a part. This is a Madonna tune completely, and Carpenter’s presence only helps one appreciate the older, more accomplished artist more.
With a little under a minute left in the video, actress Julia Garner appears, which, admittedly, seems completely out of nowhere, and doesn’t appear to serve a real purpose, at least not specifically in this song.
Soon after, Madonna is heard to say, “Sabrina, I have something I want to talk about,” and Carpenter repeats the phrase a few seconds later. Then, Madonna is seen walking out of the nightclub and into the garish light of day.
“Bring Your Love” is one of the songs on Madonna’s forthcoming album, Confession II, which drops on July 3. This will be the icon’s first LP since 2019’s Madame X, and is a true follow-up to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor. The expectation is that the record will be one that you can shake your booty to late at night, whether someone is watching or not.
Madonna also released a 14-minute Confessions II – The Film at the Tribeca Film Festival. The video for “Bring Your Love” features some of that footage. The entire film also includes turns by Benedict Cumberbatch, Chelsea star Cole Palmer, Kate Moss, Richard E. Grant, Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, and others.
