Who is Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins?
No, “The Hawk” isn’t some new instant-celeb. He’s a character played by none other than the iconic actor Will Ferrell.
Ferrell is set to star in a brand-new made-for-Netflix streaming series, The Hawk. The comedy follows fictional former pro golfer Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins as he makes a comeback two decades after his 2004 championship season.
Along with Ferrell, the series stars Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelynn Tarver, David Hornsby, Gabriel Hogan, and Aida Osman.
Not only is Ferrell starring in the show, but he is also the series creator and executive producer. And if you’re wondering about the authenticity of this golf-filled comedy, according to Netflix, the PGA Tour is one of the series’ partners.

Kim K is no stranger to the perfect pose. After all, she’s made quite a career for herself taking selfies. And now she’s sharing her knowledge with Ferrell’s “The Hawk” character in an absolutely hilarious Instagram post.
The video starts with “The Hawk” sheepishly saying, “I’ve never taken a selfie before. I don’t know what I’m doing here.”
The KUWTK reality TV star/entrepreneur directs Ferrell, saying, “Chin down…but like, stick your neck out a little to make it, yeah, a little, what’s your good side?” And “The Hawk” responds, “I don’t know. Does anyone have a good side?”
Clearly, it’s not going well for “The Hawk.” And that means Kim needs to take over and model for him. Ferrell turns the camera and, to the sound of applause, Kardashian appears.
As “The Hawk” tries to recreate Kim’s pose, she says, “Let me add a filter.” What does “The Hawk” think of himself with a filter? He exclaims, “Oh my god, I look amazing. I’m gorgeous.”
Fans, friends, and plenty of other famous faces commented on Kim’s post. And that’s probably because “The Hawk” added this caption: “My name is Lonnie Hawkins. This is an Instagram post. Khloe Kardashian wrote, “I love this man,” and the PGA Tour (following the post’s instructions) added, “I CAN SEE THIS POST.”
