A WOMAN familiar to longstanding Ross County supporters and country music fanatics has hit a high note with her latest venture.
Lorraine Christie, who was formerly a commercial manager at the Dingwall club and also previously worked for the Coop as a regional manager, wanted to provide opportunities for new and upcoming artists to have a space to perform — and so created LWC Events Ltd three years ago.
She’s clearly doing something right having picked up the best Event Business Award for the second year running at the Scottish Country Music Awards Committee.

Asked about the secret of her success, she said: “My ability to combine strategic planning with exceptional relationship building. I focus on understanding the clients’ goals, effectively managing details and adapting to quick to challenges.
“My commitment to delivering memorable experiences, maintaining high standards and continuously innovating has helped me build, trust, drive business growth and achieve successful outcomes for every event.”
She sees continued opportunities for growth, new partnerships and the successful delivery of upcoming events, embracing new trends and change.
Her dream gig would be to work at the CMA Fest in Nashville, helping to deliver one of the world’s biggest and most celebrated country music event.
She later posted: “Running an event business, like any business, comes with its fair share of challenges, highs and lows along the way. Receiving this award has given renewed positivity and motivation for doing what I love.
“LWC Events would not exist without the incredible support from all of you who attend, support and believe in what I do. This award belongs to every one of you as much as it does me.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this journey. Here’s to many great events together!”
