Jamie Lee Curtis and Mariska Hargitay were paired for an episode of Variety’s “Actors on Actors” video series.
Jamie praised Mariska for her legacy as Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU, leaving the actress teary-eyed.

In Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series, she and Jamie, who’s wrapping up her role as Donna Berzatto on The Bear, opened up about their experiences in Hollywood.
Mariska has been a part of Law & Order: SVU since its 1999 premiere, and Jamie gave her two cents on how impressive Mariska has been as Olivia Benson. She also acknowledged that fans recognize her as the glue that keeps the NBC drama going.
“You are the f****** heartbeat,” Jamie said in the clip posted on Instagram on June 15. “That entire machine is driven on you and a pair of black bell-bottoms, with a swagger and a heart that is bursting out of you in compassion and care for other people—and it’s beautiful to behold.”
Mariska got glassy-eyed hearing Jamie’s praise.
“When I said I’m not gonna watch every episode of your show, but I want you to give me a recommendation of some episodes that show what you get to do, what they let you do … It’s just extraordinary,” Jamie added.
Fans loved the bonding moment between the two stars.
“Jamie is the hype woman everyone needs in their life,” one person wrote in the comments. “Jamie is such a gal’s gal, she holds space for other women in such a powerful way 🥰🩷💪,” another penned. “The way M still gets teary-eyed when she’s praised like this.
