After a divorce, both sides move on. Or at least, they try. That’s the normal way of things. However, sometimes, when that happens, things start looking clearer for the person who decided to end the marriage in the first place. And that seems to be what’s happening to Keith Urban after Nicole Kidman has seemingly moved on after their divorce.
The reports indicate that it was Urban who decided to end the marriage, and Kidman who wanted to work on it. So, it should come as no surprise that now Urban is the one having second thoughts. Especially as celebrity gossip site Deux Moi reported that Kidman was now dating a “high profile entertainment executive.”

No name was given, but a couple of months ago, Woman’s Day reported that billionaire businessman Paul Salem, 62, who is Chairman of the Board at MGM Resorts International, was interested in Kidman. The two reportedly move in the same social circles, though at the time Kidman was reportedly not interested in a new romance.
But now? “We’re told the relationship has been quietly developing for the past few months and the pair have been keeping things extremely low-key and largely out of the public eye,” Deux Moi reported.
And Woman’s Day is reporting it is indeed Salem whom Kidman is dating, and that close friend Reese Witherspoon had a lot to do with it.
“Reese has been a big factor in helping Nicole regain her confidence and embrace this new chapter. It’s no secret she had the wind knocked out of her sails at the time of her divorce, but the friendship and support she’s had from her circle of friends has been immense, and she openly credits Reese with being a total rock at the very top of that support system,” the source explained.
It all, reportedly, hasn’t been easy for Urban. “Obviously, he’s had plenty of time to process the fact that he and Nicole are fully done and there’s no turning back the clock for their own romantic story. But the actuality of seeing her move on with someone else – or knowing it’s going on — still cuts pretty deep and serves as a brutal reminder that he’s ancient history in her eyes, at least romantically,” the insider said.
“His ego has taken a bit of a knock, in other words, but he’s super busy with work and right now that’s his best therapy by far. His friends are certain that in time he’ll bounce back and get over it.”
It all comes after Woman’s Day previously reported that Kidman and Urban’s youngest daughter, Faith Margaret, was “furious” with her sister, Sunday Rose, after Sunday made her feelings about her father pretty clear by unfollowing (and later refollowing) Urban on Instagram.
“Faith was always a bit of a daddy’s girl and she’s missing him being in her world 24/7,” a source told the outlet. “She doesn’t like all this conflict and feeling like she has to take sides. She was furious that Sunday would take such a public step.”
