Nicole Kidman is reportedly dating a high-profile entertainment executive following her split from Keith Urban.
According to reputable celebrity gossip site Deuxmoi, the 58-year-old Aussie actress has been seeing the businessman “quietly” for the past few months.
“We’re told the relationship has been quietly developing for the past few months and the pair have been keeping things extremely low-key and largely out of the public eye,” a source told the publication on Thursday.
The claims were discussed further on the Deuxmoi podcast, where the anonymous celebrity commentator known only as ‘Deux’ said speculation surrounding Kidman’s love life first surfaced earlier this year during the promotional campaign for her upcoming television series Scarpetta.
At the time, Kidman was briefly linked to fellow Australian actor and longtime friend Simon Baker after the pair were photographed holding hands while posing together at a Scarpetta premiere event.
“It was (first) reported when Scarpetta came out,” Deux told podcast producer Hanna Dickinson.
“Nicole Kidman and Simon Baker were linked, and it was a very ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment. Basically, they were holding hands at the premiere and then there were headlines the next day.”
However, Deux said those rumours failed to gain traction and insisted she had since been told Kidman was instead involved with an entertainment executive connected to a major company.
“I know from which entertainment company, but I’m not going to say right now because they’re really trying to keep this on the [downlow], from what I hear.”
Deux added: “I’m very happy for her. I hope she’s happy.”
The romance claims come several months after Kidman’s divorce from Urban was finalised in January, bringing an end to their 19-year marriage.
The former couple share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, who are reportedly living primarily with the Moulin Rouge! star following the separation.
Urban, who is understood to have moved out of the family’s Nashville home last year, reportedly initiated the split and has since been linked to a “much younger” country music performer.
Sources have also claimed the former couple’s daughters have struggled with the breakdown of the marriage and remain particularly upset with their father.
“[The girls] are completely team Nicole and, right now, Keith is the bad guy. He is the cause of every problem in their minds, and it’s harrowing for him,” a source told Daily Mail in April.
“He’s really distraught about it. He loves those girls, but they are so angry at him and they’re blaming him.
“I don’t even think this is Nicole painting a narrative, this is the girls coming to this conclusion on their own.”
