Gwen Stefani is reportedly planning to make a major leap with Blake Shelton by having a baby together.
The couple, who married five years ago, are gearing up to celebrate Shelton’s 50th birthday and have reportedly been thinking that now is the time to expand their family. “There always seems to be something getting in the way,” a source told Radar Online. “But the time has come to do it. It’s now or never because they’re not getting any younger.”

56-year-old Stefani is a mom to three boys, Kingston, 20, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 12, with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, while Shelton has no kids of his own. Despite reports that surfaced last year claiming the couple is leading “separate lives,” insiders say expanding their family is still on the cards for the stars.
“He loves her boys, but he’s been yearning for a little one,” the source continued of Shelton. “She’d love a little girl this time.”

Last year, the Globe reported that Shelton and Stefani were contemplating using a surrogate to expand their family. “They’re likely doing it via surrogate, but it will be no less special,” said an insider. “Word is, they’re putting plans in motion and want to spend lots more time at the ranch in Oklahoma. They feel it’s a better place to raise a child as opposed to L.A.”
In March, Stefani called getting pregnant with her youngest son, Apollo, at 43 a “miracle.”
“I really wanted to have another baby. I really did. And I couldn’t and I was old. And then my oldest boy, Kingston, comes up to me. He’s like, ‘Mommy, I just I really want you to have a baby.’ I said, ‘I’m sorry, your mommy’s too old to have a baby now,’” Stefani recalled in an interview for the Hallow prayer app. She claimed that her son, Kingston, prayed for her to have another baby.
“I think it was like four weeks later and I was pregnant with Apollo,” she explained, “who I had at 44-years-old, naturally—totally a full-on gift.”
