Keith Urban Wishes Ex-Wife Nicole Kidman a Happy Birthday on Instagram

Divorced—but on good terms?

Keith Urban took some time out of his day to wish his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, a happy birthday.

“Happy birthday, Nicole Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 20.

Urban and Kidman ended their 19-year marriage in 2025, and they finalized their divorce in January 2026. The two haven’t said much about the decision to end their relationship, and neither have shared the details surrounding their split. However, recent interactions suggest the former couple may be navigating their post-divorce relationship on good terms.

Kidman did not publicly respond to Urban’s birthday message, but she took to her Instagram Stories on June 21 to wish him a Happy Father’s Day. Kidman and Urban are parents of two daughters—Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers,” Kidman wrote, sharing two black-and-white images—one of her late father, Dr. Antony Kidman, and one of Urban with their girls.

Urban and Kidman first met in 2005 and married the following year. Over the course of their nearly two-decade marriage, they often spoke about their love for one another and their family life.

Despite their divorce, both Urban and Kidman have continued to express support for their family. Urban has previously spoken about how much fatherhood means to him, while Kidman has often highlighted the importance of her daughters and family.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman told Variety earlier this year. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”

Kidman and Urban’s recent social media exchanges suggest that the former couple may be finding a positive path forward after their split.
