Reese Witherspoon went full Elle Woods with her vintage Chanel pink skirt suit on Monday in New York City during her promotional tour for the forthcoming series “Elle.”

The “Legally Blonde” actress wore a coordinated look from one of the French luxury fashion house’s ’90s collections that mirrored another power skirt suit moment from the 2001 film.
Hailing from the 1995 collection and curated by the late designer and former Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, Witherspoon’s pink skirt suit was crafted from a thick, wool-like fabric. The jacket featured long sleeves and a zipper running down the front placket, along with symmetrical breast pockets, a sharp collar and a button motif at the cuffs.

The skirt was designed in a pencil silhouette and featured a formfitting design. The pink tones of Witherspoon’s look continued with the actress’ Manolo Blahnik strappy heels, and a coordinated Vestirsi handbag in a similar muted pink tone.
The Oscar-winning actress went mostly minimal with her Sheryl Lowe jewelry pieces, save for rings and a dainty earrings. Witherspoon also sported a pair of dark Oliver Peoples sunglasses.

The entire effect harkened back to the “Legally Blonde” 2001 wardrobe, which featured the actress in an array of pink pieces from a leathery skirt suit to summery dresses and more. Sophie De Rakoff served as the film’s costume designer.
Throughout Witherspoon’s “Elle” promotional tour thus far, stylist Petra Flannery has curated vibrant pink outfits that liken Witherspoon to Elle Woods. At Saturday night’s “Elle World” photo call, Witherspoon wore a pink dress from Prada’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection.
