One of television’s most talked-about reality formats is back and this time it is going bigger. Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is heading to Netflix with a brand new set of hosts, a reworked format and a fresh batch of celebrity contestants who are ready to face whatever comes their way inside those walls.
The first names have officially been announced and the lineup is already generating a lot of buzz. From beloved television faces to a reality star who made waves on a very different kind of show, the season is shaping up to be quite the watch.
‘Lock Upp’ Season 2 Confirmed Contestants: Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi and More

Ram Kapoor was introduced as the first confirmed contestant at the official launch event in Mumbai. Shivangi Joshi and Pamela Serena were also confirmed alongside him. Ram spoke about what made him say yes to the show and said, “There were four universal signs for me to join the show. First, my very close and respected casting agent called me for this show. Secondly, Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh are the reason. Farah, Sajid, and me are childhood friends. Lastly, whenever I have worked with Ekta Kapoor, we have created magic.” The full list of all 14 inmates is expected to be revealed before the premiere.
‘Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa’ on OTT: New Format, New Hosts, New Rules

Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh will take over as jailers and hosts this season, replacing Kangana Ranaut who fronted the first edition. Creator Ektaa Kapoor addressed Kangana’s absence at the launch and said, “The entire format of the show, the whole vision changed. Nothing of the original show has been kept. Neither the jailer nor the host. So keeping anything of the old would not bring the fresh presentation of the branding. I am sure Kangana would have understood.” The show places 14 contestants in a jail-style setup for six weeks, where they earn basic necessities through tasks and navigate secrets, alliances, and eliminations. Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa starts streaming on Netflix from 27 June, every Saturday to Wednesday at 8 pm.
The move to Netflix is a significant step up for this format, and with Farah and Riteish at the helm, the energy is going to be very different from what audiences saw in Season 1. Whether the new cast can deliver the same drama and unpredictability that made the original a talking point is the real question and viewers will not have to wait long to find out.
