Show coordinator and performer Chris Jioras provides more details of the night’s entertainment: “This will be a truly fun evening — some sweet ballads, but a lot of just plain fun songs. Sometimes the song is written as queer and sometimes the song is being performed that way, but it’s all a huge celebration of queerness.” Songs come from across the time spectrum of musical theater, ranging from canon classics to newer shows, including “Funny Girl,” “The Prom,” “The Bridges of Madison County,” “Fun Home,” “Shrek” and “The Last Five Years.”
“CabarGay!” features the musical performing talents of Redwood Curtain favorites, including Craig Benson, Marina Benson, Abi Camerino, Christina Jioras, Sky Malone, Caroline Needham, Evan Needham, Tina Toomata, Craig Woods, Elaine Yslas and Andrea Zvaleko. Matt Estabrook (drums), Matt Jioras (bass) and Justin Ross (piano) will back up the vocals.
