The rapper, 33, appeared emotional as she celebrated her son, Wave Set, 4½, graduating from preschool by uploading a series of adorable family pictures on Instagram on Thursday, June 25.
The “Bodak Yellow” singer, immaculately dressed in a stylish beige pantsuit, was pictured beaming as she cuddled Wave, who donned a blue and gold graduation cap and gown.
Wave, whom she shares with her estranged husband, rapper Offset, also won the Student’s Choice Award and was presented with a certificate at the ceremony.

The mom of four shared a heartfelt hug with her eldest son as she marked the special occasion with a series of balloons and gifts.
“Proud of my son 💙,” Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, captioned the series of snaps.
The family gathered to mark Wave’s milestone, with his big sister Kulture Kiari, 7½, and baby sister Blossom Belle, 21 months, also at the event.

On her Instagram Stories, Cardi filmed Wave appearing shy onstage and performing alongside his classmates. She then filmed him accepting his certificate and wrote: “My little seeds are growing 🥲,” before saying in the clip: “Wooo! That’s my baby! My baby. That’s my boy.”
After the ceremony ended, Cardi and her family went to Latin American restaurant Romo, in New Jersey, where she and Kulture had mocktails, steak and fries. Her youngest son also joined the celebrations, with Blossom seen pushing the little one in a stroller.
Many fans commented on the graduation pics and praised the star for being a “good mumma,” with one writing: “Beautiful pics🎉🎊.”

Another said: “Aawwww!!! He’s so cute! He’s your twin!!! Congratulations baby boy! 🥳♥️👏🏾👏🏾.” A third chimed in and added: “He is literally ur twin 😍congratulations 🌊😍.”

She also welcomed a fourth child, a baby boy whose name she has not publicly revealed, in November 2025, with her on-off boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs.
Shortly after announcing her fourth pregnancy, Cardi opened up about motherhood and how it has changed her during an appearance on Angie Martinez’s IRL Podcast.
“Your kids never leave your mind,” she said. “Not for a second. You think about them all day.” She added that being a mom is “really hard” and a “nonstop job,” noting that was the case “whether you have money or not.”
On Wave’s third birthday, Cardi revealed that she was initially nervous about having a boy, writing on Instagram, “I was soo happy when I found I was having a baby then all of a sudden I got so scared when I found out I was having a boy, I’m such a girly girl.”
“You make it easy tho getting into that sporty mom bag … I’ll always have your back, front and sides,” she added.
