Located directly along the famous Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Wax Museum has welcomed millions of visitors since opening in 1965. It holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating celebrity wax museum in the United States and remains one of Hollywood’s most recognizable attractions.
The museum is also unique for being dedicated entirely to celebrities, with displays spanning film, television, music, comedy, sports, and pop culture.

Inside, guests can pose with incredibly lifelike wax figures of some of the world’s biggest stars. The Hollywood Wax Museum was founded by Canadian-American entrepreneur Spoony Singh back in the sixties. Opening day already proved to be an instant success, attracting crowds so large that the line reportedly stretched for half a mile along Hollywood Boulevard.
Singh’s vision was simple: create a museum where everyday visitors could experience the glamour of Hollywood by standing alongside realistic versions of their favorite stars. The museum occupies the historic Christie Realty Building, originally constructed in 1928, adding another layer of Hollywood history to the attraction.
