FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — Two artists are set to be featured at the OWA Theater as part of the 41st Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival.
Daphne man convicted for child abuse and drug possession
According to an OWA news release, Larry Gatlin will perform on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the OWA Theater during the “Stories and Songs” event.
“Known for his soulful voice, signature harmonies and a legacy of chart-topping hits, Gatlin will share not only his songs but the stories that inspired them,” the release said.
American Idol winner and Alabama resident, Taylor Hicks, will perform on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the same location.
“His recent single “Porch Swing,” which marries country and soul influences and draws comparisons to the work of artists like Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers, underscores his evolution as a songwriter committed to authenticity and genre-blending artistry,” the release said.
While both performances begin at 7:30 p.m., doors for each show open at 6 p.m.
