Prince Harry and Meghan to Visit the UK with Children

Prince Harry, his wife Meghan and their two children will stay at royal residences when they return to the UK in July for their first family visit in four years.

The family, including Archie (7) and Lilibet (5), will be guests of King Charles III at an unspecified royal estate during the multi-day trip, according to sources familiar with the arrangements. They will use a mixture of royal residences and private accommodation during the visit.

The arrangement marks a notable shift from previous trips, when Harry declined offers of accommodation on royal estates, according to media reports.

Harry is visiting to mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, the sporting event he launched in 2014 for wounded veterans. He is also expected to attend engagements with his other charities during the visit.

The couple left Britain for North America in 2020 and stepped back from royal duties following a feud with the royal family. Relations deteriorated further after Harry published his memoir “Spare” and became involved in legal battles in the UK.

Harry has said he would like to reconcile with his father, but it remains unclear whether the two will meet during the July visit. He is believed to have last seen the king (77), who is being treated for an undisclosed cancer, at Clarence House in London in September 2025.

Security arrangements for the visit remain unclear. Buckingham Palace has not offered any extra security for the trip, according to reports.

Harry lost a court case last year to have full police protection restored during UK visits. He previously told the BBC it was “impossible” for him to bring his family back to the UK safely.
