Spurs Sports and Entertainment will be looking for input from the public for the plan to move the basketball arena to downtown.
The organizatin will host several community conversations beginning the week of July 13 to gather input on the arena and accompanying entertainment district, a plan sometimes referred to as Project Marvel.
Voters approved the funding framework in November for a new San Antonio Spurs arena in Hemisfair, with additional funding from other sources, including the Spurs organization itself. The total project is expected to cost at least $1.2 billion.
The meetings are expected to be family friendly and open to anyone across San Antonio. They will be spread out across the city to make it easier for people to attend where they live or work.
The organization is specifically looking for San Antonians and those around the area to weigh in what they want to experience in the new entertainment district and how the downtown area can best represent culture and people of San Antonio.
