It’s finally Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s big day, and the pair have said their vows in front of their closest family and friends less than a year after getting engaged
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially husband and wife…but the event has not ended without it’s fair share of drama.
Madison Square Garden has reportedly fired several staff members over alleged violations of nondisclosure agreements tied to the wedding, according to a Bloomberg reporter who said he had inside knowledge of the situation. Earlier in the week, Page Six reported that, “MSG is off limits to all corporate employees this week,” and that the employees “were not given a reason why it’s a no-go zone.”
The couple, who have been keeping everyone in the dark about the details of their wedding, tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in New York City, surrounded by their close friends and family. This comes as a lone protestor tried to boycott Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s MSG wedding.
Travis and Taylor’s lavish ceremony comes less than a year after they announced their engagement. The pair sent shockwaves through the entertainment world in August 2025 with the news.
The couple shared the milestone with a series of engagement pictures on Instagram with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The proposal featured stunning flower displays and, of course, a huge diamond ring.
Taylor and Travis have been romantically linked since the summer of 2023, and the pair went public with their relationship that October, when they were seen holding hands at a Saturday Night Live party.
The couple first met when Travis attended the Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium. Speaking on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis admitted he was disappointed he couldn’t meet Taylor at the time and give her a bracelet with his phone number on it.
“She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal,” he joked.
The podcast asked on Instagram, “Anyone know how to get a bracelet to @taylorswift13? … asking for a friend.”
However, he soon admitted that he had invited the beloved pop icon to a game at Arrowhead, sparking a frenzy among fans. “I threw the ball in her court,” he said on another talk show. And Taylor clearly took Travis up on his offer, making an appearance at the Chiefs-Bears game, cheering next to his mom, Donna Kelce.
Taylor and Travis’ wedding comes after the singer sparked speculation she’s recording a new album as she was seen arriving at the Electric Lady Studios in New York on June 15. Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, which is her 12th studio album, was released on October 3, 2025.
Taylor has used the recording studio for several projects, including recording her 2019 album Lover and parts of 2020’s Folklore there. She also recorded parts of both 2022’s Midnights and 2024’s Tortured Poets Department at the studio.
