The View cohost Ana Navarro announced she won’t return to the talk show for its first episode after a holiday hiatus.
Navarro said in a new Instagram video that she became stranded in Miami.
“Take a little time to enjoy The View without me,” the Republican panelist said in her clip.
Ana Navarro will have to spend another day in her beloved Miami abode, as the Republican commentator and longtime cohost of The View will not return to the Hot Topics table for the show’s first episode back after a holiday hiatus.
The 54-year-old shared an Instagram video (below) updating her followers on the situation, which saw, according to her, a stoppage of Sunday flights traveling from Miami to New York City.
“I just got home after hours and hours at Miami International Airport, trying to make it to New York to be on The View tomorrow, but alas, it was not to be,” Navarro said, lamenting that “every flight to New York from Miami got canceled” amid “bad weather” that moved through the area.
“I’m sorry I won’t be there tomorrow. I’m sure the other ladies will have great, insightful things to say,” Navarro finished. “We are going to bed because we are beat and exhausted. Take a little time to enjoy The View without me.”
In the video’s caption, Navarro elaborated, telling her followers that she gave it her “best shot” to return to the Hot Topics table, but “the weather and airline gods did not cooperate” with her in the end.
“There was a ground-stop in NYC tonight, and weather up the East Coast. Was looking forward to getting back to @theviewabc after the hiatus,” Navarro wrote. “Pero lo qué será, será. Whatever will be, will be.”
News reports circulated over the weekend regarding inclement weather, with flooding, downed trees, and more reported along the East Coast.
Navarro’s absence from Monday’s return would’ve come amid The View‘s first new episode since June, with the show beginning its traditional Fourth of July break ahead of the holiday.
Since comedian and longtime panelist Joy Behar typically has Mondays off, the show will seemingly move forward with only four cohosts for the July 6 broadcast. (Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a show representative for comment.)
