Tamera Mowry is ready to share her love of God with her faithful fans and community.
“My faith didn’t happen overnight. It started with me opening my Bible and seeking God, and I promise you, that changes you,” Mowry, 48, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, July 5. “I’m still on this journey. I don’t have it all figured out and I’m not here to preach to anybody. What I’ve learned is that God isn’t asking you to be perfect. He just wants a real, honest relationship with you, and He loves you through every season — the good and the messy.”
The Sister, Sister actress said she plans to share a good word every Sunday to her 11.5 million Instagram followers after receiving positive feedback from her first post in June.
“I wanted to start something new here. 🤍A space for my faith, however it shows up that week,” Mowry said at the time. “Some weeks, it’s a prayer or reflection, other times a song or just me having fun in HIS name! So this is where we begin.”
The post received support from many famous faces, including Candace Cameron Bure, Shaniece Hairston, Essence Atkins and more.
“I can’t wait Tam,” Mowry’s The Real cohost Jeannie Mai wrote in the comments section. “This has always been your home base 💛.”
Mowry — who shares son Aden, 13, and daughter Ariah, 11, with her husband, Adam Housley — provided a glimpse into her relationship with God in a recent Instagram video.
While faith has been part of her life since she was a child, the actress said her mindset changed three years ago when she “truly wanted to know who God is.”
“I always knew about Jesus. I knew about God, but I truly wasn’t seeking Him,” she explained. “I said I want to know who you truly are. I started my honest, real, authentic relationship with Him.”

Mowry noticed a positive change in her life and wants to gently share her testimony with those interested in learning more.
“I’m a little nervous because I didn’t realize so many of you wanted to hear this aspect of my life,” she said. “I never wanna come on here and come across as I am this know it all. I am this preacher. I’m not.”
Mowry continued, “I’ve had my highs. I’ve had my lows. I’ve made my mistakes, but one thing I’ve learned more than ever is that God was with me through it all. He loves us through it all, and He literally just wants us to have a relationship with Him.”
