Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s star-studded wedding even featured a celebrity officiant.
Comedian Adam Sandler served as the officiant as the music megastar and Kansas City Chiefs star tight end tied the knot July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who was inside the “World’s Most Famous Arena” for the nuptials, commended Sandler for how he carried out the role. The three-time Super Bowl champion coach told celebrity.land that Sandler’s performance is the one thing he’ll likely most remember from the night.
“Adam Sandler [did a] phenomenal job,” Reid said. “Just how he went about bringing a little humor, but also some sensitivity to what was going on.”
Reid also detailed the marriage advice that Sandler shared with the celebrity couple.
“Kiss every chance you have, every day,” Reid recalled. “Whether you’re going to bed or going to work or wherever, go ahead and kiss her.
“I thought in a simple way, in its simplest form, it really was touching.”
Sandler, who shared the screen with Kelce in “Happy Gilmore 2,” gave the advice a week after celebrating a 23rd wedding anniversary with his wife Jackie.
Sandler wasn’t the only big name to feature in the MSG bash, either. Two guests told NBC News that Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks performed at the reception.
The guests described the entire wedding as a “pinch me moment.”
