Excelsior Springs is getting a little Bravo glow this summer.
Cole McBee and Kacie Adkison, known to viewers of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, are set to celebrate their wedding at The Elms Hotel & Spa at the beginning of July, bringing the national reality television spotlight to one of Excelsior Springs’ most recognizable landmarks.
The couple’s engagement was featured in the July 6 episode of the Bravo series, with Bravo later publishing details about the proposal, including the 3.16-carat diamond ring Cole gave Kacie and the role The Elms played in the romantic moment. According to Bravo, Cole planned the proposal at the historic Excelsior Springs hotel, using the property’s gazebo as the backdrop for the surprise.
In the episode, family members helped keep Kacie distracted with what she believed was a spa day and dinner while the proposal scene came together outside. When she arrived, she found Cole and their daughter, Blair, waiting near the gazebo, surrounded by flowers and a “Marry Me” display.
For Excelsior Springs residents, the moment was more than just reality TV drama. It was a familiar local landmark appearing on a national stage.
The Elms has long been one of the community’s best-known destinations. Sitting just above downtown at 401 Regent Street, the hotel has welcomed generations of visitors drawn to Excelsior Springs’ mineral water history, spa culture, and small-town charm. Today, the resort remains a popular setting for weddings, weekend getaways, dining, spa days, paranormal tours, and special events.
