The View panelist Joy Behar raised eyebrows inside the ABC network’s studio after making a joke about the sex life of her boss, producer Brian Teta, live on the air.
Amid an interview with Summer House reality personalities Lindsay Hubbard and Kyle Cooke, Behar attempted to ask a question about the latter’s admission that he didn’t have much sex during his marriage to wife and fellow Bravo celebrity, Amanda Batula.
“During the [Summer House] reunion, viewers were shocked that you and Amanda had not been intimate for four years,” the 83-year-old comedian said, before turning her attention to the show’s producer: “Kind of like Brian.”

The camera immediately cut to Teta, who raised his hands in the air in surprise over the joke, while another angle showed moderator Whoopi Goldberg looking over with a stunned look on her face.
“That’s our boss!” exclaimed Sara Haines, after Cooke said he wasn’t sure who “Brian” referred to in the moment. “I was like, I don’t know Brian, but, I’m sorry!” Cooke said.
Behar continued, looking down at her notes as she said, “Brian is the butt of our jokes a lot, but he likes it.”
She continued with the conversation, noting that Cooke and Batula didn’t have sex “pretty much for the entire length of the marriage,” and called it a “red flag” — a sentiment Cooke agreed with.
Haines cut back in to observe, “But, like, sex is a massive part of a marriage,” while Behar leaned into the sexual joke once again: “Not to Brian!” she said.
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a representative for The View for comment on Behar’s joke.
This is far from the first time Behar and Teta have engaged in cheeky commentary together, particularly on the Behind the Table podcast. They have joked about Behar’s personal life in the past — including a moment where a young man relentlessly flirted with her and attempted to pick her up at a casino.

Earlier this week, Behar also made a spicy quip about Teta when she revealed that he “begged” her to come in on her typical day off to fill in for three cohosts who, due to natural disasters around the world (ranging from East Coast storms to a volcano that trapped Goldberg in Italy), all missed the Monday broadcast.

“Brian [Teta] begged me to come in. Begged me on his knees where he belongs,” Behar said at the top of the show.
