However, while the princess knows all these royal rules and processes, it seems that she doesn’t stick to every Royal Family tradition. This includes the unofficial nail varnish rule. Over the years, members of the Royal Family mostly steer clear of bright nail polish and opt for more neutral and natural-looking shades. However, at Wimbledon last year, Charlotte stepped out with bright pink nails.
As a young royal at a non-official royal event, there was no problem with this, and most likely wouldn’t be even if she sported this nail colour at bigger royal events.
However, royal fans loved the fact that the princess was allowed to wear nail varnish, and a bold colour too.
One user wrote on X at the time: “Love the nails. Bless her.”
A second one chimed: “I love this so much!”
A third one exclaimed: “Soooo cuteeee.”
Another one added: “Our little princess is growing up!”
A fifth one opined: “Perfect shade for her age.”
It is not known whether Prince William and Princess Catherine let the young royal wear nail varnish all-year-round, or whether it is limited to holidays and non-school moments.
