Ann Widdecombe’s home was shown on television six days before she died in a suspected murder.
The former Conservative minister’s bungalow in Devon was shown in extensive detail on the episode of Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House, shown by Quest on July 2.
Miss Widdecombe was found dead at the house in Devon on Thursday July 9 after sustaining serious injuries.
Police believe she was killed nearly 24 hours earlier, at around midday on Wednesday July 8, and have arrested a 28-year-old man in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, on suspicion of her murder. Devon and Cornwall Police said it was not looking for anyone else.
The episode of Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House, where celebrities auction their clutter, showed Miss Widdecombe give a tour of her home. The programme, first broadcast in 2022, showed her driveway, front door, garden, conservatory, gym, library, kitchen and dining room.
