Love Island USA contestant Alannah Keyser was booted from Casa Amor this season after videos of her using racial slurs resurfaced—and the reason why wasn’t directly referenced on screen. Or, apparently, off screen!
Narrator Iain Stirling simply told fans, “Alannah has left Casa Amor,” and her exit only came up again when Kayda found out that Zach hadn’t voluntarily returned to the Villa solo. So, what were the cast told?
During a chat with People, Parmida Keshani said, “We were told that she left for personal reasons.”
She added, “I just was praying that she was okay. We were friends, so I was just like, well, I hope it’s nothing family-related. I hope she’s okay. But yeah, that’s what we were told. We kind of just had to move on.”
Parmida also says it was “pretty crazy” that Alannah’s exit from the show wasn’t communicated to Kayda before her reunion with Zach. Instead, Kayda found out during movie night, when someone said, “Wait, where’s angel girl?” and Jaiden explained, “She left after night two.” Meanwhile, Zach said, “If I wanted to, I would have brought her back,” which…nope!
Zach and Kayda haven’t weighed in on Alannah’s exit and how it impacted the trajectory of their relationship, but stay tuned because they (presumably!) have their phones back.
