Actress Kaitlin Olson scored an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series on July 8.
The High Potential star spoke about her career achievement in an Instagram post.
The update comes as fans wait for a new season that’s set to air in the winter of 2027 on ABC.
As fans wait for High Potential to return for season 3, Kaitlin Olson is busy celebrating a major career milestone.
Many viewers know the actress for her portrayal of Morgan Gillory on the ABC drama. But when she’s not on High Potential, Kaitlin does other guest appearances, like her recurring role as DJ Vance on the HBO comedy series Hacks.
As the 2026 Emmy Awards nominations were announced on July 8, fans learned that Kaitlin received a nod for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks. And in typical Kaitlin fashion, she had a playful response.
“I like this!!!” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you, @televisionacad!”
As soon as fans learned about Kaitlin’s recognition, they joined in on the celebration.
“Are we shocked? Love it when excellence is rewarded. 🙌,” one person commended in the comments. “FINALLY!! So deserved; you’re the funniest woman in Hollywood, just like Rob said,” another agreed while referencing Kaitlin’s husband, Rob McElhenney. “Well deserved!! Phenomenal performance!!!!” a different follower added.
This isn’t the first time Kaitlin has received an Emmy Award nomination. In fact, she was nominated in the same category (and for the same Hacks role) in 2022 and 2024. Additionally, she was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series in 2020 for her portrayal of Cricket Melfi in the Quibi comedy series Flipped.
This will definitely hold fans over while we wait for new episodes of High Potential.
Congrats!
