‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Remains Atop U.K. Home Entertainment Sales Chart Through July 15

The sequel, which generated $688 million at the global box office, continued to hold off Universal/Focus Features’ Obsession, the supernatural horror film centered on a young man’s ill-fated love of his childhood best friend, which moved up one spot to No. 3 in its second week on the chart.

Universal’s former chart-topper The Super Mario Galaxy Movie moved up six spots to No. 3 in its eighth week on the chart — just ahead of Lionsgate/Universal’s Michael Jackson biopic Michael at No. 4 in its fifth week on the chart. The movie recently topped $1 billion at the global box office.

Fantasy film The Magic Faraway Tree returned to the Top 10 in fifth place from No. 11 last week, followed by 20th Century Studios’ Avatar: Fire and Ash, down two spots at No. 6 in its 15th week on the chart

Dropping a spot to No. 14 was 20th Century Studios’ Avatar: Fire and Ash in its 14th week on the chart, followed by Warner/DC Studios’ Superman (2025), up two spots to No. 5 in its 44th week on the chart.

Warner’s horror film They Will Kill You also returned to the chart at No. 7 in its second week of release, followed by the studio’s Mortal Kombat II, down two spots at No. 8 in its fifth week on the chart.

Warner’s Lee Cronin’s The Mummy returned to the Top 10 at No. 9 from No. 14, while New Line Cinema’s 45-year-old horror film The Evil Dead (1981), entered the chart at No. 10.
