Your eyes are not deceiving you, that does say Entertaining Weekly on the cover below. But this isn’t the launch of a new brand. Rather, it’s a special treat from us at Entertainment Weekly.
The title change is temporary, but “Entertaining Weekly” was actually first introduced in the pages of EW back in 2016 as a recurring section offering pop culture-inspired entertaining tips and recipes.
It’s a beloved franchise that deserved a moment as the main course. And what better reason for that upgrade than to celebrate Jennifer Garner, who stars as food blogger Hollis Shaw in Peacock’s series adaptation of The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand (pictured above, second from left, with series creator Bekah Brunstetter, star Chloë Sevigny, and me at the Nantucket Film Festival in June).
For this Summer Entertaining issue, we’ve prepared a tasting menu of sorts: classic EW with a dash of our People Inc. sister publications Better Homes & Gardens and Food & Wine. It’s the first collaboration of its kind, and we think it’s a pretty great melding of flavors.
I hope you want seconds.
