Summer House’s Carl Radke is helping best friend Kyle Cooke embrace single life after his split from estranged wife Amanda Batula.
“I mean, it makes me happy, of course,” Carl, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly, while promoting his partnership with Coffee mate, about seeing Kyle, 43, in this new chapter. “I know how hard all of this stuff has been. … They’re together still on In the City, on these episodes. I think he’s still doing a good job and trying to navigate all this in the best way, but still having a good time.”
Carl explained that viewers sometimes “forget” that cast members on Summer House and In the City have to “relive all this stuff” once the episodes finally air. Carl previously experienced this first-hand when he and ex-fiancée Lindsay Hubbard filmed their breakup in 2023 — but didn’t watch the events back until the following year.
“Even when Lindsay and I had broken up in the past — that happened in August of 2023, but then you all didn’t see it until May of 2024,” Carl noted. “So, Kyle and Amanda, all this stuff is still pretty raw and fresh. So I just think he needs to take some time to have fun, let loose, process and heal a little bit, and then see where that goes.”
Carl continued, “But single Kyle … other than the last couple months, I haven’t seen this in a long time. So as his best friend, I’m happy for him. I will be wingmaning him all throughout the Hamptons. But in the meantime, I might get him a Situation-Sip with Coffee mate too.”
Kyle and Amanda, 34, announced in January that they went their separate ways after four years of marriage. Two months later, Amanda confirmed that she and former Summer House costar West Wilson are dating. The drama — which also involved West’s ex and Amanda’s one-time BFF Ciara Miller — was the main focus of the show’s season 10 reunion, which came to an end in June.
Following his split, Kyle was spotted kissing Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King. Sources also told Us in June that Kyle and Southern Charm’s Salley Carson were “hooking up,” and he has also been linked to Next Gen NYC’s Ava Dash.
“We have gotten really close in the past couple months,” Ava exclusively told Us earlier this month. “We have the same friend group. A lot of my best friends are also his best friends, so we’ve just been having fun.”
As Carl and other Summer House OGs get ready for season 11, he’ll be supporting Kyle in his single era while hoping to find a relationship of his own.
“I have a lot happening in my life, and that’s really exciting,” he told Us. “I’m really blessed … but yeah, at the end of the summer, would I like to maybe be in a more committed, full on, exclusive [relationship]? Yeah, I would.”
He added, “I would love to get married and have kids at some point in my life. That alarm clock is starting to ring louder, I think, as I’ve gotten a little bit older, but I’m very lucky in so many ways that I’m not complaining. So when it happens, it’ll happen.”

For now, Carl is also putting energy into his partnership with Coffee mate. The brand is giving away limited-edition Coffee mate Situation-Sip Mixed Fruit Flavored Creamer for free on a first come, first served basis at 2 p.m. ET (while supplies last) at coffeemate.com/situationsip on Monday, July 20, and Monday, July 27.
“I’m in a relationship, or situationship, with Situation-Sip,” Carl quipped. “This is no strings attached. It’s very easy and light. It’s exactly what I want for the summer. I’m really busy. I’ve got a ton of stuff going on, and like I said, it’s nice and easy and fun and light. So it’s been a really cool partnership and a good situationship, let’s say.”
