In an interview with GQ, Brosnan said he was open to playing Kent Nelson, aka Doctor Fate, after inhabiting the role in the ill-fated 2022 movie Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson.
“I’ve heard that Doctor Fate was going to have his own show, or his own movie. I’ve heard that he’s going to be in the next Superman,” the Irish actor said.
Asked if he would consider playing Doctor Fate again, the former James Bond star responded: “I enjoyed that, the philosophy of that character, very much, and I would definitely be open to it.”
Gunn announced in September that Man of Tomorrow will bow on July 9, 2027, with David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult expected to return as Superman/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor.
