On day two of the visit, the King met with Heroes On The Water Isle of Man. The charity supports veterans, emergency workers, and other uniformed staff through kayak fishing and outdoor programs.
At the event, King Charles reconnected with 104-year-old James Fenton, a World War II veteran and among the last to hold the Burma Star. The two had previously crossed paths during the 80th anniversary of VJ Day in 2025.
When their conversation was winding down, Fenton requested the 77-year-old to give Queen Camilla his regards, adding that he had also had the chance to meet her. The monarch responded with characteristic wit, saying: “Don’t tell me you’re another one who danced with her as well!”
