LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Chef Emeril Lagasse has expanded his presence in Southern Nevada with the opening of Meril at M Resort Spa & Casino, bringing a new celebrity-chef restaurant concept to Henderson.
Named after his daughter, Meril is Lagasse’s casual neighborhood concept and is described as the first restaurant of its kind from a celebrity chef in the Henderson area.
The Contemporary American restaurant is the largest restaurant footprint at M Resort and is designed as a departure from traditional enclosed casino dining. The 220-seat main dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows intended to bring in natural light and connect the space with views of the surrounding desert.
The restaurant also includes a large wrap-around terrace with outdoor balcony seating overlooking the M Pool, with views of the desert sky and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The opening was marked with a ribbon-cutting celebration Tuesday, July 14, when Lagasse welcomed a VIP crowd of local dignitaries, executives and guests for a first look at the space and a preview of the New Orleans-inspired hospitality now offered to the Henderson community.
