The World Cup final on Sunday brought all sorts of celebrities out to watch the match. Ahead of the battle between Argentina and Spain, acclaimed actor Tom Cruise gave an inspirational speech.

“So as we gather for one final chapter, let us celebrate a tournament that brought the world together. Let us celebrate each other. This is football. This is unity. This is greatness,” Cruise said in his remarks, which were broadcast on FOX.

Cruise seemed to be having a great time. The actor met up with other celebrities ahead of the match, including Muppets legend Kermit the Frog.

Cruise is appearing in a new movie called Digger, which is coming out in October. He also appeared in a promotional video for the film, which aired during the World Cup final broadcast.

Cruise is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Star of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Cruise has also made a name for himself performing death-defying stunts in his films. He has won numerous accolades in his long movie career, including an honorary Oscar.

Before the final on Sunday, there were also musical performances. Post Malone, Robbie Williams and Jennifer Hudson were some of the acts who performed at the event.

The World Cup final on Sunday is being played in New Jersey. While the U.S. team didn’t get to the final this year, World Cup fever took over the United States this summer. The U.S. team did post wins over Paraguay, Australia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, before losing to Belgium.

There were many other celebrities in New Jersey Sunday for the final match. Other celebrities present included actor Matt Damon, star of the new film The Odyssey.
