Barcelona visionary Zora Jones has shared her new single ‘ULTRAFREAK’.
The genre-blurring talent will release her second album ’50 Bullets To The Heart’ later this year, and it’s a work of probing electronics, other-worldly pop, and sensual desire.
New single ‘ULTRAFREAK’ is the latest preview, and it finds Zora Jones at her most carnally expressive.
From the title down it’s a digital scorcher, an unapologetic ode to the fires that burn within. A song that moves between lust and desire, kink and climax, it’s built “for the freaks of the world.”
Zora takes charge of the video, which blurs the lines between surreal animation and sensual performance imagery, mirroring the track’s unsettling but arresting atmosphere.
Zora comments…
“For a long time, I was told that if I embraced my femininity or presented myself as a woman, I wouldn’t be taken seriously as an artist. Looking back, I think that message was really about limiting my power. ULTRAFREAK is, in a way, my big ‘fuck you’ to the idea that I have to make myself smaller to be taken seriously. As one of my friends recently put it: ‘Just let women be hot.’”
