Edris and Jessica Grace were one of the first couples to get engaged on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 4, but the highly tense reunion revealed that they broke up. However! Apparently filming said reunion allowed Edris and Jessica to work through some of their issues, because they hopped on Instagram with a joint statement telling fans they’re back together.
“The Ultimatum reunion was filled with many emotions, and in the heat of the moment, we both said things we deeply regret,” they wrote (via The Tab). “For two years, we have been partners in a relationship built on mutual love and respect, and during filming, we failed to honor that foundation. We want to publicly apologize for our choice of words and the incredible disrespect we showed each other.”
They also clarified some moments that were “misinterpreted due to editing,” saying that Jessica Grace’s comments about being humiliated were misconstrued, and referred to the “rejection she has sometimes felt in the relationship vs. any specific practice or actions.” They also addressed their engagement timeline, saying editing made it look like Edris only proposed to prevent a trial marriage, but “in reality, these events happened hours apart.”
The pair ended the statement saying, “While the reunion was painful to watch, the dialogue did lead us to reconnect and attend therapy following filming. We are happy to share that we’ve decided to give our relationship another shot, recognizing we have a lot of work and healing to do both as individuals and as a couple. The Ultimatum did what it was designed to, and we are grateful it gave us another chance to choose each other.”
