Tate McRae may have quietly dropped her biggest clue yet about what’s coming next. Following a series of cryptic social media posts ahead of her festival performances, fans now believe the Canadian pop star is preparing to launch a new musical era on October 1.

The latest wave of speculation began after Tate McRae shared a poster packed with subtle visual details. While one side prominently references her upcoming appearances at Osheaga Festival in Montreal, as well as Lollapalooza in Chicago, eagle-eyed fans quickly focused on another element: what appears to be the date “10-1” printed elsewhere on the artwork. Because October 1 falls on a Thursday in 2026—a common day for artists to begin major album campaigns before Friday releases—many have interpreted it as a possible teaser for new music.

Adding fuel to the theories, Tate McRae also uploaded a playful TikTok recreating the iconic Disney Channel wand intro. Smiling into the camera, she says, “Hi, I’m Tate McRae and ur watching Disney Channel.”

The mysterious posts arrive only hours after McRae sparked widespread excitement with a sleek new Instagram photoshoot captioned simply, “Montreal. Chicago. See u soon.” Although the message appeared to promote her upcoming festival performances, fans quickly pointed to the updated styling, polished visuals, and noticeably different aesthetic as signs that a fresh chapter could be approaching.

Comments flooded the post within minutes. “WE ARE READYYY,” one fan wrote, while another exclaimed, “A NEW ERA!!!!!!!!” Others began analyzing every image for hidden clues, convinced the singer was intentionally planting hints before a larger announcement.

The timing would make sense. McRae is set to headline the Bell River Stage at Osheaga on August 1 before traveling to Chicago for a marquee performance at Lollapalooza, one of North America’s largest music festivals.

Any new project would follow the blockbuster success of So Close to What, released on February 21, 2025. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming McRae’s first chart-topping album in the United States.
