Snapchat has launched a new music discovery feature that allows users to share the Spotify songs they are listening to directly through Snap Map.

Called Now Playing, the feature lets Snapchat users connect their Spotify accounts, display their current listening activity to selected friends and save songs they discover without leaving the Snapchat experience.

The integration gives Spotify artists another potential route to reach listeners through personal recommendations, social sharing and real-time music discovery.

Now Playing is a new feature built into Snap Map, Snapchat’s interactive map that allows users to see the locations and activities of their friends.

Once a Spotify account has been connected, users can display the track they are currently listening to alongside their presence on Snap Map.
