A Knives Out Mystery’ London Premiere

“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” held its London premiere on Wednesday during the 69th BFI London Film Festival. The premiere featured celebrity style moments from the forthcoming film’s cast, including Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis and more.

Oscar de la Renta, the dark glamour trend, ethereal dressing and more featured on the red carpet. Ahead, WWD breaks down some of the cast and special guests’ looks.

Kerry Washington

Washington turned to styling team Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn for her Oscar de la Renta look. The actress wore a strapless metallic silver dress with allover crystal embellishments. The actress’ hair featured a semi-’60s inspired straight look by stylist Rio Sreedharan, with makeup provided by artist Kenneth Soh.

Cailee Spaeny

Cailee Spaeny opted for ethereal elegance with a touch of sparkle. The “Priscilla” star wore a sleeveless gown with a bead-embellished bodice. The skirt, which began at Spaeny’s natural waistline, featured some slight volume and flowed in a cream tone. Spaeny often collaborates with stylist Nicky Yates.

Mila Kunis

Kunis went the dark glamour route, wearing a strapless dress with a bead-embellished bodice and skirt with a flowing, tulip silhouette. The skirt began just above the “Black Swan” star’s natural waistline.

Glenn Close

Glenn Close opted for a dramatic jumpsuit, wearing a shimmering look that was contrasted by her black opera gloves. The eight-time Oscar-nominated actress coordinated her attire with strappy platform heels.

Greta Gerwig

Greta Gerwig went for a skirt suit look with threadbare pinstripes. The Oscar-nominated writer and director’s blazer featured sharp lapels with pockets at the waist, coordinated with a midi skirt. She paired her ensemble with pointed toe black heels.

“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” follows detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, who returns for his most dangerous case yet. Directed and written by Rian Johnson, the film is the third installment in the “Knives Out” franchise. The movie hits select theaters Nov. 26 and arrives on Netflix Dec. 12.
