Sorry, Pillsbury, but subtlety, this was not. The brand’s new Super Mario cookie collab basically soft-launched the Super Mario Galaxy Movie ahead of the actual trailer drop—and yes, the clues went far beyond cute packaging.
Front and center was the one and only Yoshi, with the whole kit built around decorating “Yoshi egg” cookies. After that post-credits egg tease in the first film, it felt less like a wink and more like a confirmation. And now that the trailer’s out, we can say it: Pillsbury called it early.
The rest of the box art wasn’t exactly shy, either. Mario’s current animated look is right there, soaring through space next to our favorite green-and-white dino.
