Here’s some smalltown gossip for ya.
A former South Dakota Casanova turned reality TV star is dating someone new.
ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” wrapped up its 10th season on Tuesday, Sept. 2, starring Dale Moss as one among three couples who made it to the finale.
Former South Dakotan Dale Moss began dating reality TV star Kat Izzo in season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
He didn’t propose — a pseudo expectation on the salacious dating show filmed over a mere three weeks in Costa Rica last May — but he did find love, with a California girl he’s still seeing, according to the season recap.
Moss, 36, if you recall, is a Brandon native who graduated from South Dakota State University in 2012. The elite athlete went on to play in the NFL before moving to New York to start his own film production company. He still resides there today.
We first got a glimpse of Moss on national television when he did end up engaged after only four episodes of “The Bachelorette’s” season 16 in 2020. He even brought his betrothed, Clare Crawley, to Sioux Falls before ending their relationship the following year.

Like a true South Dakotan, he said he had the “grit” to keep going and gave the dating franchise another chance.
“You got to step outside the box and take some chances,” Moss said on the “Paradise” finale episode. “And this one paid off.”
Dale Moss: ‘I know who I am’
Moss and his partner, 29-year-old Kat Izzo — also a “Bachelor” veteran — had already connected on the second day of filming and continued to date throughout the duration of the show. They gave each other their “roses” every week, ensuring immunity to stay on the beach, which led them to third runners-up.
They were sent home after “false” accusations that Izzo was still seeing someone when she began filming “Paradise,” walking away from the opportunity to win $500,000 as a couple.
It didn’t seem to shake them.
Looking back: This South Dakotan returns to ‘Bachelor’ franchise: Will he end up engaged again?
“Staying in the public eye is hard on any relationship,” Moss said Sept. 3 on entertainment podcast “The Viall Files.” “It’s a big step for anyone to just come here and put themselves out there, but I know who I am, and I’m not trying to impress anyone.”
Moss and Izzo said they are “navigating” a move to live in the same state and until then enjoying their time together as a “real” couple.
For more dish on the show, Moss and Izzo will join a cast reunion episode airing Sept. 5 on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast. Both parts one and two of the reunion will be available Sept. 6 on YouTube.
