A True Crime Docuseries Starring A 'Tinder Swindler' Victim Is A Top Show On Netflix Right Now

“Love Con Revenge” is one of the top shows on Netflix right now, according to the streamer’s public ranking system.

The docuseries follows the streamer’s 2022 documentary, “The Tinder Swindler,” which told the story of conman Simon Leviev and how he used the popular dating app to trick women out of millions of dollars. In the show, one of those victims, Cecilie Fjellhøy, teams up with private investigator Brianne Joseph to get justice for women like her who have been defrauded in love.

Each episode of the investigative series, which premiered on Sept. 5, breaks down a different romance scam and the elaborate schemes used to con victims out of their money. All six episodes are now available to stream.

“Betrayal,” the hit true crime series from ABC News based on the podcast of the same name, is trending on Hulu this week after its Sept. 2 return.

The show follows “real-life fairytales gone horribly wrong” and focuses on a new deceitful relationship each season. In Season 3, titled “Under His Eye,” a single mother named Stacey falls for a charming doctor, whom she eventually marries and creates a picture-perfect life with — until the discovery of a hidden camera in their home unearths dark secrets.

All three parts are streaming now on Hulu.

“Task,” a new crime drama starring Mark Ruffalo, is currently one of the top shows on HBO Max.

The miniseries, which premiered on Sept. 7, follows an FBI agent (Ruffalo) who heads up a task force investigating a string of violent robberies in Philadelphia being led by an unassuming family man (Tom Pelphrey).

The cast also includes Thuso Mbedu, Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox and Martha Plimpton.

New episodes premiere on Sundays on HBO and HBO Max.

From the creator of “Outer Banks” comes another teen drama currently trending among the top shows on Prime Video.

“The Runarounds” follows a group of recent high school graduates who form a rock band in hopes of pursuing more exciting futures than the mundane plans that await them. As they chase their near-impossible dream over the course of a summer, they fall in love — and into trouble — along the way.

The eight-episode series stars real-life musicians William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher, as well as Lilah Pate, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur and Shea Pritchard.

A spinoff of “The Office” is the top show on Peacock right now.

“The Paper,” set in the same world as the hit mockumentary sitcom, follows the returning Dunder Mifflin documentary crew as they discover a dying Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to restore it to its former glory.

The cast includes Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key and “Office” alum Oscar Nuñez.

The series was created by Greg Daniels (co-creator of the American version of “The Office”) and Michael Koman (co-creator of “Nathan For You”), and it’s already confirmed for a second season. Check out celebrity.land’s review of Season 1 here.
