Aasif Sheikh says TV actors shine in ‘Dhurandhar’, share strong work ethic
Indian actor Aasif Sheikh praised the success of TV actors in the film Dhurandhar.
He highlighted how actors like Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera, and Rakesh Bedi brought commitment and discipline to their roles.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Aasif said, “Look, there has been a very big breakthrough. Just see how many TV actors are in the hit film Dhurandhar, Rakesh, Saumya, Gaurav, they are all TV actors, playing different roles. So I feel this is a good opening for TV actors. And everyone has done their work successfully.”
Aasif explained that TV actors are trained to work under strict schedules, which helps them deliver strong performances on the big screen.
“But I can confidently say that we are much more efficient, committed, serious, and sincere. Because that’s how we were brought up—we have to finish the work. And all of us share this attitude: we don’t compromise on our work. We know that if we compromise, it will show on the screen. It’s an unspoken rule that you have to give your best, no matter what. Whatever your capacity is as an actor, you have to give your best,” he said.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a spy action thriller. Ranveer Singh plays Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Rehman Dakait’s gang (Akshaye Khanna) in Lyari, Pakistan, to collect information about their dealings with the ISI.
Dhurandhar 2 was expected to release in the first half of 2026.
