SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Boney James, the acclaimed saxophonist, producer, and composer, is set to return to the stage with his Slow Burn Tour, featuring music from his latest album, Slow Burn.
A four-time GRAMMY nominee and one of Billboard’s Top 3 Contemporary Jazz Artists of the Decade, James has dedicated over 30 years to blending jazz, R&B, and soul into a unique sound.
He recently made history as the first artist to achieve 20 #1 singles on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart.
His accolades also include four RIAA Gold Records, multiple NAACP Image Award nominations, and a Soul Train Award for Best Jazz Album.
Fans can look forward to experiencing both new music and classics that have contributed to James’s status as one of the most cherished and enduring saxophonists of his generation.
The concert will take place on October 25, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at The Strand Theatre, featuring opening acts by Ragan Whiteside and Shreveport native Jeffrey Smith.
