KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Planet Comicon Kansas City has finalized its lineup for this year’s event.
This week, Planet Comicon Kansas City announced three major additions to its 2026 celebrity guest lineup. Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips and Sean Astin are now set to attend the show.
Halo Ridge to serve as accessible community space in Olathe
The comic book and pop culture event runs from March 27-29 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
Kiefer Sutherland, the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning star, will make his first appearance at Planet Comicon. His career also includes starring roles in “fan-favorite films such as “24,” “The Lost Boys,” “Young Guns” and “A Few Good Men.”
Lou Diamond Phillips broke out portraying Ritchie Valens in “La Bamba.” Over the decades, he has delivered memorable performances in “Stand and Deliver” and “Young Guns,” and later starred in the television series “Longmire.”
Sean Astin is reuniting with his “Lord of the Rings” co-star Elijah Wood at Planet Comicon Kansas City. Astin is best known for playing Mikey Walsh in “The Goonies” and the determined underdog in the sports favorite “Rudy.”
