Hollywood icons Carol Kane and Christopher Lloyd filmed for the upcoming second season of Happy’s Place, which stars Reba McEntire.
According to Deadline, Kane will appear as a character named Theresa, who is known for being a nonconformist, in the NBC sitcom. Meanwhile, Lloyd will be showing off his acting chops as Theresa’s husband, Clive. The publication reported that Clive visits Bobbie McAllister’s (McEntire) bar, Happy’s Place, co-owned by her half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo).
Kane and Lloyd were once co-stars in the sitcom, Taxi, which had a 5-season-run until 1983, as reported by Deadline. In the sitcom, Kane played Simka Dahblitz-Gravas, who was married to Latka Gravas, portrayed by the late Andy Kaufman. Lloyd joined the cast as the character, Reverend Jim Ignatowski, during the first season of Taxi.
Happy’s Place Season 2 will start airing on November 7.

This isn’t Kane’s first time reuniting with a Taxi star. The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actress appeared during the 17th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which premiered in July 2025. In the season finale titled, “The Golden Bachelor Live,”Frank Reynolds, played by Danny DeVito, goes on a dating show competition. During his time on the show, he unexpectedly falls for Kane’s character, Sam.
During an August 2025 interview with Decider, DeVito, who portrayed Louie De Palma on Taxi, said he enjoyed working with Kane again for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 17.
“Carol and I have known each other for many, many years, since the ’60s. And she worked on Taxi in the ’70s, but we’ve been friends forever and we talk to each other all the time,” said Devito during the interview. “You’re always looking for ways where, if there’s somebody in your arena that you can coerce into being on the show, you can. This was perfect, this part was perfect for her. She loved it and they loved her and that was a gift.”
He also shared whether he has stayed in communication with his Taxi co-stars over the years.
“We have this thing that Marilu Henner [who played Elaine O’Connor Nardo] sets up for us every month or so, and we do a Taxi Zoom and it’s amazing because we just never lost touch. We’ve been doing it for like years now,” said Devito while speaking to Decider.
